Ok so my sources were bad and after reading the official press releases it sounds as though no content will be removed, although no one can honestly know for sure yet.
In spite of that I am still leaving to go on holiday in England, Scotland, and the little England that could (Wales), for a bit. I’ll try to queue up as much as possible right before I leave but two weeks of queue is going to be rough.
And hopefully EvAC will get a voice version of my ‘Off’ review today, time permitting.
As most of you probably know by now and which I was just informed of, Yahoo is officially buying Tumblr. What that means in the long run, no one knows except for a few Yahoo execs. In the meantime though, they do apparently plan on removing all “Adult only and insensitive content.”
I haven’t the first clue how much of my blogs content will remain intact after they supposedly scour Tumblr of adult content, but it will be a substantial loss especially for most of my shipping tags.
Between this and the Homestuck hiatus, I imagine several fan-artists will be leaving tumblr, or at least the fandom. Until Tumblr settles into its new format and Homestuck returns to normal updates, I will be taking a hiatus myself.
I will return to this blog in about two and a half weeks to re-evaluate Tumblr’s condition, after which I will attempt to provide everyone remaining with the same great Homestuck fanart as always, however in a more oppressive and forced child friendly environment.
I want to thank all of you for following me this long, and I hope you all consider staying through the transition.
